M&Ms is a young, welcoming, theologically-open parish of the Anglican Communion. We meet for worship in the chapel of Justus Lipsiuscollege on the Minderbroedersstraat every Sunday at 18.30u. Our style of worship is a mixture of modern and traditional. Feel free to visit our homegroup, philosophy café and various social events. On one Sunday each month, we worship ecumenically with the Roman Catholic community at Justus Lipsiuscollege at 10.30u, which enables families with young children to attend more easily. Everyone — Anglican and non-Anglican, enquirer, sceptic — looking for a home away from home is warmly invited to be part of our community.
What to expect
When you arrive at the Justus Lipsiuscollege (directions here), enter through the large main doors. You will notice a series of signs posted in the hallway marking the way to the chapel. The service starts at 18.30u but don't worry if you happen to be late, just sneak into the back. We will be happy to have you join us. When you enter the chapel, you should meet some friendly faces who will make you feel welcome and provide you with a hymn book and order of service.
Dutch and English translations of the order of service are provided. The service is primarily in English, but, given our location in Flanders, we include readings and prayer in Dutch.

Style of service
Our main Sunday service of Holy Communion takes place at 18.30u. This service is attended by expats, Leuven residents, and students from KU Leuven and ETF Heverlee. We enjoy a variety of musical styles, a tradition of intellectual preaching and warm fellowship.
Our service is always followed by coffee and cake, and a couple of times each semester we have popular bring-and-share/potluck suppers after the service.
We also meet in the same place on the first Sunday of each month at 10.30u in the morning. This is an ecumenical service held with the Roman Catholic community at Justus Lipsiuscollege. This Catholic congregation is led by Reimund Bieringer, a Catholic priest who is also a professor in the Faculteit Theologie KU Leuven. These services alternate between a Roman Catholic service and an Anglican service and all present at these services are warmly invited to receive Communion. This service is held in English, with a short sermon. This service ideal for young families as the community is used to noisy children and people should feel no embarrassment in this area. M&Ms also worships with JLC each year on Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and for an Advent carol service.
Once or twice each semester, we do not have Holy Communion but "Dynamic Worship", which is a freer expression of Christian faith through art, poetry, sermon and music.
St Martha and St Mary's was "planted" in 1997 by Holy Trinity Pro-Cathedral, Brussels, who remain our "mother church" - our current chaplain also serves as canon theologian in the pro-cathedral. M&Ms was recognised by the Belgian State as a separate Anglican parish in 2011, meaning that the State finances the chaplain's stipend, as well as certain expenses of the parish. M&Ms meets as a guest congregation in the Roman Catholic chapel of the Justus Lipsiuscollege, and we are very grateful for the leadership of that college for their warm hospitality.
