Tuesday 27 September
20u-21u30: Philosophy café in STUKcafé, Naamsestraat 96 (www.stuk.be/nl/info/contact). p-café is our philosophy and theology discussion group, led this year by Jacob Quick (doctoral student in philosophy at KUL) and meeting over a beer or a coffee at the Stuk. We're going to begin with a few sessions on Christian faith and politics, focusing in particular in the phenomenon of the rise of the populist right (Brexit, Trump...). Our first session will be led by Jack McDonald: 'Stop the world: I want to get off: what has happened to Western politics?'

20u-21u30: Homegroup at Sarah Jones' flat (email email@example.com for details). HG is our parish homegroup, hosted this year by Sarah Jones (churchwarden) and led this year by Annie Bolger (CEMES intern). It is an opportunity to meet over coffee, tea and cakes, to catch up on news, to support one another and to pray together. Later on in the semester, Jack will lead some sessions on pilgrimage in his bid to lead an M&Ms pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostella next April. But first we will have a few evenings of simple fellowship
Thursday 29 September
8u30-8u50: Morning prayer in the prayer room of the Faculteit Theologie KUL. Anyone who's passing is welcome to join in the Anglican MP (which is actually followed by an M&Ms staff meeting). We operate a paper-free zone and use the wonderful Church of England app: http://churchofengland.org/prayer-worship/join-us-in-daily-prayer.aspx
Sunday 2 October - Trinity XIX
18u30-19u30: Holy Communion at M&Ms. This Sunday, the service will be explained as we do it: why we have particular prayers here, why we sit, stand or kneel, why the Anglican liturgy is structured the way it is, the parts of the service which are adoration, contrition, thanksgiving and supplication. Some of our parish activities (p-café, HG, ecumenical services, our parish charities) will also be explained. To make room for all this explanation, for once there will be no sermon.
19u30: Bring-and-share/pot-luck supper. Please something edible and easily eaten (pizza or mini worstenbroodjes are easier than chili con carne...) so we can gather after the service to get to know one another better.
Have a super week!
